Where Is God – Part 3
Good Day to each of you reading this column—The Bible gives answers to all questions, shows that history repeats itself, that all men have sinned and come short of the glory of God, that God is the creator and ruler over Satan and his minions, and that, we, as Christians, must stand with Jesus for he says in Matthew 12:30: 30 He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.
The NIV version breaks it down by saying it’s impossible to be neutral about Christ. Anyone is not actively following him has chosen to reject him. Any person who tries to remain neutral in the struggle of good against evil is choosing to be separated from God, who alone is good. To refuse to follow Christ is to choose to be on Satan’s team.
Wow—well said for you are either for Christ or for Satan—it is that simple and you can not play on the fence. The choice is yours and stand you take is yours—that is free will and Christ has given each of the opportunity, the next step is yours.
One bit of advice before we turn to the subject and the similarities—take the time to read THREE TIMES Psalm 23—Let the words sink in, each and all of them.
Where is God when we need him? Will God intercede in the National election? No, he already knows the outcome for God is the one who puts our rulers in office—He says this in the Old Testament. Look back at Understanding Gods laws.com and you will see the scripture to back up the statement.
I certainly hope you enjoyed How will you vote in November—I know I will take each of the points made to vote for the person who will be the next president.
Don’t sit on your tush and complain—Vote—it does matter and it could be the deciding vote on who will be the next president.
Now, as for who will be the next president, only God knows and we are to pray for them regardless of the outcome. Yes, that also in the Old Testament and under one of my columns.
Let’s go down the list of why God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah. Keep in mind that he also flooded the world because man was evil, heinous, and wicked. As you read the Bible, look no further as to when Moses was up on the mountain speaking with God, the people were building idols and worshipping other gods. What is God’s first commandment? Exodus 20:3-5 (NIV)
3 “You shall have no other gods before me.
4 “You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. 5 You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me,
Fortunately, the Israelites were not destroyed, as God did not ask, but made the command not to have no other gods—period.
God then commands not make for yourself and image in the form of anything in heaven above or the earth below or in the waters below—No one, no living thing or no dead thing.
Do not bow down to them or worship them—see Daniel and three men who would not bow down to King Nebuchadnezzar.
As we move on, the people of Sodom and Gomorrah were wicked and sinning against God. Let’s go over those sins and wicked things that the scriptures speak about:
First, Sodom was arrogant, overfed and unconcerned with helping the poor and needy. Let’s not forget to throw in abundance of idleness.
Arrogancy—Proverbs 8:13 (NIV) 13 To fear the Lord is to hate evil;
I hate pride and arrogance, evil behavior and perverse speech.
Do you see the similarities where America is full of pride, arrogant, instead of counting our blessings, we expect those blessings, loving evil, calling evil good and good as evil, evil behavior including rampant crime, murders, stealing from merchants and from people, lying instead of telling the truth, laziness and expecting government handouts because I am entitled, perverse speech coming from our leaders in office to children in the 1st grade because they heard it from the parents, on social media, airwaves, tv, internet or other forms of communication. As for the poor and needy, what is the church doing to feed Americans first who are in need, men and women who served in our armed forces, the elderly who have no money since social security is eaten up with a corrupt healthcare system and no one to turn to including their own family.
Profligacy is the act of spending money or using something in a way that wastes it and is not wise: and bad or morally wrong behavior: In America, profligacy is running rampant, where the United States Government has shown it can’t balance anything, a Federal Reserve System that is illegal and should be abolished. Yes, they print fiat money or monopoly play money with no backing and as it says in James 5: (NIV) 5 Now listen, you rich people, weep and wail because of the misery that is coming on you. 2 Your wealth has rotted, and moths have eaten your clothes. 3 Your gold and silver are corroded. Their corrosion will testify against you and eat your flesh like fire. You have hoarded wealth in the last days. 4 Look! The wages you failed to pay the workers who mowed your fields are crying out against you. The cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of the Lord Almighty. 5 You have lived on earth in luxury and self-indulgence. You have fattened yourselves in the day of slaughter.[a]
Fellow Christian, this is not only the Federal Reserve, but we have those in office who make it their life long mission to be elected until they die. They run for office and within a few years of their term, they are turning around to re-run for that office. Fellow business man, whether large or small who live in luxury while your employees barely get by only to suffice the board of directors for greater profits to line their pockets. The health care system controls doctors, their fees and what and how long the patient is to receive treatment. Where is the accountability? What is happening to the small businessman who wants to pay his people well and make a fair profit? Instead of self-indulgence, why not utilize the following Bible verses:
Hebrews 13:16 (NIV) 16 And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.
James 2:14-17 (NIV) 14 What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? 15 Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. 16 If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? 17 In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.
1 John 3:17 (NIV) 17 If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person?
Acts 20:35 (NIV) 35 In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ “
Are we in America any different by not adhering to the Lord? Yes, we have a revenant who follows each of these verses and Jesus will reward on that great day when He comes back. All of us including myself needs to be reminded that it is more blessed to give than to receive whether it be financially, a word of encouragement, an apology, a thank you, a compliment or just a smile.
Speaking of remnants, I believe, unlike Sodom and Gomorrah that we have righteous people in the cities. In fact, more and more righteous are awakening to God’s ways for they know the time is short and await the ways of the kingdom. More people are beginning to open their eyes to see and hearing the true word of God and questioning pastors who are in direct conflict with the word of God. We have pastors who are leading their flocks to follow God’s commandments, statutes, judgments and ordinances. The vail is being removed from the remnants eyes as we have men and women communicating via the internet, or by book or on the TV exposing pastors who water down the gospel. These same pastors have distorted God’s word to be popular with the secular crowd, those in church attendance and not to make waves. Again, what does the Bible taking a stand for Christ?
When reading Isaiah 3:9-12 –(NIV) The look on their faces testifies against them; they parade their sin like Sodom; they do not hide it. Woe to them! They have brought disaster upon themselves.
Like Sodom and Gomorrah, look no further than the internet or tv where one sees naked people, scantly clad dressed women, men kissing men, women kissing women, transgenderism accepted, all types of sexual identities, pre-marital sex acceptance by parents purchasing condoms for their children and the abortion issue. Before I start on abortion, look at the above verse completely—The look, how they parade in open by flaunting, and how open they are as though they are coming out to tell everyone of their sexuality and then accept it as part of the norm in today’s society.
As for the consequences, they have brough disaster upon them which includes rape, death, and diseases. Who is to blame? Look in the mirror.
Abortion is murder, just ask Molech or Moloch as Britanica says Moloch, a Canaanite deity associated in biblical sources with the practice of child sacrifice. The name derives from combining the consonants of the Hebrew melech (“king”) with the vowels of boshet (“shame”), the latter often being used in the Old Testament as a variant name for the popular god Baal (“Lord”). https://www.britannica.com/topic/Moloch-ancient-god
Leviticus 18:21 (NIV) 21 “‘Do not give any of your children to be sacrificed to Molek, for you must not profane the name of your God. I am the Lord.
Leviticus 20:1-5 (NIV) 20 The Lord said to Moses, 2 “Say to the Israelites: ‘Any Israelite or any foreigner residing in Israel who sacrifices any of his children to Molek is to be put to death. The members of the community are to stone him. 3 I myself will set my face against him and will cut him off from his people; for by sacrificing his children to Molek, he has defiled my sanctuary and profaned my holy name. 4 If the members of the community close their eyes when that man sacrifices one of his children to Molek and if they fail to put him to death, 5 I myself will set my face against him and his family and will cut them off from their people together with all who follow him in prostituting themselves to Molek.
For you Christian, is abortion sacrificing your child to be put to death? Molech is identified as a Canaanite deity with the practice of child sacrifice. The question arises, why do you wish to abort your baby? Why do you want to end the life of the baby? Fellow Christian, isn’t abortion murder?
I have some other questions for women who are for abortion—I have heard my right, my body—
If you are a Christian, does it not say God created male and female, so isn’t that God’s body?
Isn’t your body a temple from God?
Isn’t this the right of God to give and take life?
If aborting the life of a child isn’t murder, what is it? Death, if so, then by who? Who is taking the action to take the life of a child?
If you were raped or incest, God says the penalty is death. If this were enforced and under the writings of God concerning these crimes, you would see those crimes dropped greatly. How do I know? I write this in my column, but I will tell you that if the wrongful party admits to this crime or if seen by two or more creditable witnesses, then the penalty is death. Death is quick and within two days from the time the judge administers the crime.
The Bible uses the same time period as to when He was crucified and was not guilty of anything. God stipulates all aspects of the crime of incest and rape so their can be no second guessing. For you Christians who wish to argue, I am not that person so I ask you to render your case of the death penalty to God.
In closing, outside of incest and death, why do you not wish to have a baby? Having a baby is more than sacrifice, it is a commitment to God who gave you precious life. Jesus speaks much about little children and the responsibilities to grow the child in the ways of God. Choose life for you to were given life from God.
Jude 7 goes into great detail of the battle in America on the issues of adultery, pre-marital sex and strange flesh indicative of lesbianism, homosexuality, transgenderism, bi-sexualism, and bestiality.
Fellow Christian, these issues have been around since the Bible has been written, but God has said these practices are sinful and heinous. When it comes to sin, God hates sin. It is up to you who commits the sin to repent and not go back to those wicked ways. It is no different stealing a paperclip and repeating only to keep on stealing the paperclip. Sin is sin, no matter how large or how small and God will forgive you but there will be consequences.
The above lifestyle is not in concordance with the creation of man and wife. As one put it, he created Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve. Yes, I can show several verses in both the Old and New Testament that God views this as a sinful lifestyle.
Fellow Christian, are you not tired of seeing this lifestyle on television, internet, or computer. When reading Isaiah 3:9-12 –(NIV) The look on their faces testifies against them; they parade their sin like Sodom; they do not hide it. Woe to them! They have brought disaster upon themselves.
Parading, flaunting or exhibiting their lifestyle is sinful for God says woe to them and they have brough disaster upon themselves. The hope is that they will turn from their sinful lifestyle, repent and lead a Godly life that has been placed in the Bible.
As for Homosexual, Lesbian or Transgender preachers—get out of that church – do not support them and pray that they may turn from their sinful style.
I hope this commentary has helped you as you make the comparisons of Sodom & Gomorrah and America. Fellow Christian, this is a path that we do not wish to follow for God has laid out that disaster will afflict America.
As to the question, WHERE IS GOD? Turn to Deuteronomy 31:6 (KJV) 6 Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.
And the solution to fixing America turn to 2 Chronicles 7:14 (KJV)
14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
