As we begin in our travels together, look at the verse chosen for the basis of Understanding God’s Laws—Turn to Psalms 1:2 (KJV) But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
God is never to be placed on the shelf and dusted off only in times of trouble—If we are to understand his perfect ways, then we need to study his word and ask for wisdom.
Turn to Psalms 118:24—KJV—This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. Please keep this verse always in mind each day for God hath given us life to live daily and as a wise man said, it is better to be six feet above than six feet below.
Wow! Can you believe it, we are nearly nine months into finishing this year, my how time flies—Here in the USA, we will soon be entering the fall months and for us folks in the Southeast, we look forward to the cooler temperatures, crisp nip in the air and the fall colors.
We must humble ourselves, pray for deliverance and be willing and desire to restore God’s laws. God MUST be Supreme in each of our lives and as a nation.
Whether mammon is wealth, pride of power, pride of glory or pleasures of life, this all boils down to one thing—It’s all about me! There is no “I” in team and there is no “God” in mammon.
Folks, this is a commandment—God is not asking us to abide, follow or observe.
When one thinks about taking God’s name in vain, what is the first thought? Probably swearing would be the first thought that would come to mind, but let’s look at this a bit more thoroughly.
One of the first things that I learned, when reading Genesis is that God is the God of order and he does all things with a purpose, with order and to Glorify him. Why? He is our creator, so we should glorify him for everything that he has done for you and me.
I think you will agree that if we were under God’s laws and not those of man that our world would be ideal. God has addressed every issue in his laws with a solution that makes sense and could and should be used by all.
