Where Is God – Part 2
Good day to each of you reading this column on where God is and what it has to do with America.
how i will vote in november
I will vote for the most pro-life candidate, because God hates the shedding of innocent blood
(Proverbs 6:17).
I will vote for the most pro-Israel candidate, because God blesses those who Bless Israel and curses those who don’t
(Genesis 12:3).
I will vote for the most pro-debt reduction candidate, because the borrower is servant to the lender
(Proverbs 22:7).
I will vote for the most pro-work candidate because God says if a man won’t work let him not eat
(2 Thessalonians 3:10).
I will vote for the most Pro-Marriage candidate because God is for marriage as defined in
(Genesis 2:24).
I will vote for the candidate who most closely believes government’s purpose is to reward good & punish evil
(Romans 13).
I will vote based as close as I can on God’s Word
(2 Timothy 3:16).
The above column came from Denise and Pete Thomas with thanks and gratitude—Very wise words—Great Common Sense– The Bible verses are spot on!
BEFORE YOU VOTE—CONSIDER THE ABOVE COLUMN AS THE CHOICE YOU MAKE! GOD WILL HOLD EACH OF US ACCOUNTABLE!
Before we begin the column, I have been asked what platform I would have if I ran for the Presidency?
The answer is simple and straight to the point—the answers to the economic, political, social and biblical problems come straight from the Bible.
Outdated? No, as the Bible is as relevant and correct today as the day it was written.
When reading the Bible, God provides each and every solution to all the problems that we face today in our society. Why is it that we can’t follow what is in the Bible to have a prosperous and peaceful life?
I can show anyone that has ears to hear and eyes to see that if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
Simply put, we must turn to God and God only and humble, pray and seek God and turn from our wicked ways. Again, the Bible gives us the answer as to what the wicked ways are as well as the penalty for those ways.

Please take some time to read Isaiah 1 as we begin to show the similarities between America and Sodom and Gomorrah. We will have other references throughout the Bible to show the similarities.
Turn to Genesis 13:13 (NIV) 13 Now the people of Sodom were wicked and were sinning greatly against the Lord.
Do you notice the words sinning greatly against the Lord? Turn to Ezekiel 16:49 (NIV) 49 “‘Now this was the sin of your sister Sodom: She and her daughters were arrogant, overfed and unconcerned; they did not help the poor and needy.
Ezekiel is providing the light as to the greatly sinning and wicked people of Sodom. It is my understanding that Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed due to heinous crimes in the cities. When using the Wycliffe Bible Commentary, Sodom’s heinous crimes of Genesis 19 aren’t recounted, but rather her pride, prosperous ease (RSV; abundance of idleness, AV) and failure to strengthen the hand of the poor and needy. Amos 6: 4 & 6 shows how low the poor and needy were mistreated while the people in luxury flaunt their achievements.
Turn to 2 Peter 6-7 (NIV) 6 if he condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah by burning them to ashes, and made them an example of what is going to happen to the ungodly; 7 and if he rescued Lot, a righteous man, who was distressed by the depraved conduct of the lawless
Smith and Good Speed’s translation is and if he condemned the cities of Sodom & Gomorrah, and overwhelmed with ashes, as a warning to the ungodly men 0f what was to come, and saved upright Lot who was so distressed by the immoral conduct of unprincipled men—
Ferrar Fenton’s translation says and overwhelmed the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah by ashes of fire, leaving them as a warning to future iniquity; and rescued righteous Lot, who was agonized by the conduct of those men of unbridled profligacy—According to the Cambridge dictionary, profligacy is the act of spending money or using something in a way that wastes it and is not wise: and bad or morally wrong behavior:
Is the picture becoming clearer and did not God say that cities would be burnt? Turn to Isaiah 1:7 (NIV) 7 Your country is desolate, your cities burned with fire; your fields are being stripped by foreigners right before you, laid waste as when overthrown by strangers.
Turn to Genesis 18:20 (NIV) 20 Then the Lord said, “The outcry against Sodom and Gomorrah is so great and their sin so grievous—Deplorable, Atrocious, Heinous sins that the people are doing against God.
We can tie in James 5:4 (NIV) 4 Look! The wages you failed to pay the workers who mowed your fields are crying out against you. The cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of the Lord Almighty.
Are you seeing the similarities and characteristics that are befalling America?
Genesis 18:26 asks the question from the Lord, “If I can find fifty righteous people in the city of Sodom, I will spare the whole place for their sake.”
Turn to Jeremiah 5:1 (NIV) “Go up and down the streets of Jerusalem,
look around and consider, search through her squares. If you can find but one person who deals honestly and seeks the truth, I will forgive this city.
Can we find those who will stand with God in both the good and bad times? Persecution is a lonely street, but the loneliest street is when we must explain when we meet God face to face and try to explain why we did not stand with him when the opportunity arose.
Turn now to what Jesus said in the end days in Matthew 24:21-22 (NIV) 21 For then there will be great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now—and never to be equaled again.
22 “If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened.
Wars, threats of wars, atomic capabilities and the destruction of mankind due to the evilness of man.
Thank you, Father, for having a remnant, whether it be great or small. We have a remnant here in America that will stand with you and, if need be, give their life for you.
Romans 9:29 (NIV) tells us that God will provide descendants or a remnant in the end time.
It is just as Isaiah 1:9-10 said previously: “Unless the Lord Almighty had left us descendants, we would have become like Sodom, we would have been like Gomorrah.
Isaiah 3:9-12 (NIV) The look on their faces testifies against them; they parade their sin like Sodom; they do not hide it. Woe to them! They have brought disaster upon themselves.
10 Tell the righteous it will be well with them, for they will enjoy the fruit of their deeds.
11 Woe to the wicked! Disaster is upon them! They will be paid back for what their hands have done.
12 Youths oppress my people, women rule over them. My people, your guides lead you astray; they turn you from the path.
Here is the proof in the pudding where we have those who are vocally parading about for all to see whether it be on TV, radio, the internet or any form of communication. The pleasures of sin whether it is exciting, glamorous or clever is still sin and yet we accept sin in our society as the norm. With sin, there is punishment, do you wish to go down that road?
Whether you believe it or not, wickedness will not go without punishment—if you completely disregard sinning, there will be repercussions whether it be immediate or in the future.
Please read verse 12 and give me your thoughts—I think this is one of most interesting verses that could fit our present and immediate time.
Turn to Ezekiel 13: 17-19 (KJV) 17 Likewise, thou son of man, set thy face against the daughters of thy people, which prophesy out of their own heart; and prophesy thou against them,
18 And say, Thus saith the Lord God; Woe to the women that sew pillows to all armholes, and make kerchiefs upon the head of every stature to hunt souls! Will ye hunt the souls of my people, and will ye save the souls alive that come unto you?
19 And will ye pollute me among my people for handfuls of barley and for pieces of bread, to slay the souls that should not die, and to save the souls alive that should not live, by your lying to my people that hear your lies?
Our land has been filled with witches, demons, warlocks, false prophets, sorcerers, and agents of Satan. We have allowed them to practice in our country even though the Bible speaks against them as well as their practices and ways. We also have false prophets whether they be male or female.
Here is what the Wycliffe Bible Commentary says in verse 19 concerning the word pollute or to pollute is the opposite of to sanctify. It is to bring God down to the sphere of the common, the false, the unworthy. To slay the souls that should not die, i.e., the righteous; to save the souls alive that should not live, i.e., the ungodly.
Here is another comparison of America today and Sodom and Gomorrah: Jeremiah 23:14 (NIV) 14 And among the prophets of Jerusalem I have seen something horrible: They commit adultery and live a lie. They strengthen the hands of evildoers, so that not one of them turns from their wickedness.
They are all like Sodom to me; the people of Jerusalem are like Gomorrah.”
Adultery, 50% marriages that fail, marriages of homosexuals, marriages of lesbians, and all so many churches condone these practices all in the name of God’s love. Is this what you teach and did you miss the parts of the Ten Commandments, the statutes and ordinances on the above matters. Where are the preachers today who stand against sin and teach it in the pulpit?
Turn to Jude 7 (NIV) 7 In a similar way, Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion. They serve as an example of those who suffer the punishment of eternal fire.
Here is the King James version to Jude 7: 7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.
Gomorrha is the Greek form of Gomorrah in The New Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible.
Giving themselves over to fornication and going after strange flesh indicates adultery, pre-marital sex and strange flesh is indicative of lesbianism, homosexuality, transgenderism, bi-sexualism, and bestiality.
Before I tackle the similarities in the third installment, I want to leave you with thoughts in the New Testament where, when making a stand against these evils you have an advocate.
Where is God? He is with you and will not leave you nor desert you and will give you the Holy Spirit to provide the words needed, if you will pray and ask him. Remember in my previous lesson of the ASK METHOD—Ask, Seek, Knock. See Luke 10:9-10
When speaking against these sins remember as Jesus said that “if anyone will not welcome you or listen to your words, shake the dust off your feet when you leave that home or town. I tell you the truth, it will be more bearable for Sodom and Gomorrah on that day of judgment than for that town.”
As I close, turn to Matthew 10:32-33 (KJV) 32 Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.
33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.
Will you take the challenge in the good times as well as in the bad? Will you take the silent approach and go along with the crowd? Will you deny Christ so you can be socially accepted?
The challenge is now and time is short—Look no further than Luke 17:26-30 (KJV)
26 And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.
27 They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.
28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;
29 But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.
30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.
The revealing will soon take place and each of us will be asked if we took the stand with Jesus Christ or took the stand against him as we stand before the King—what will be your answer?
Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
