Dare to be like Daniel

Dare To Be Like Daniel – Part 2

Good day to each you reading on the subject of what our society needs which is Daniel in the Old Testament.

My wife always makes me laugh as she finds the funniest things on the internet—

The candy bar Payday is changing its name because its offensive to those who don’t work.
No Payday isn’t changing its name, but that is a good one!

How about this one—The teacher asks students about 9 or 10 years old what the building in the picture is—The projector shows a picture of the White House and one kids response—It’s a nursing home.

And the topper, perhaps they should look at forgiving medical debt for cancer patients instead of student loans. Education is a choice, cancer is not.

Humor—the best medicine!!!!

Well, King Cyrus is back at it again, trying to show up Daniel by proving to Daniel that his god and the god of the Babylonians is for real and can do the same things as our God.

This time, Cyrus along with his fellow Babylonians worship a great serpent who is alive and urge Daniel to turn from the Lord our God who is a living God and is creator of all things.

Cyrus challenges Daniel by saying that the serpent is a living god so Daniel, with the king’s permission, says he will kill the serpent without sword or stick.

According to the Apocrypha, the king gave his permission to Daniel to make the following below and feed the serpent.

Folks, without hesitation, Daniel took pitch, fat and hair and boiled them together, made lumps of them, put them in the serpent’s mouth, and the serpent ate them and burst open.

Daniel told the King as he watched the serpent burst open, “See the objects of your worship!”

I’ m sure the king, his priests and council got the point that neither Bel the idol made of clay and bronze and the great serpent were nothing more that false idols and they became furious.

The Babylonians did not take this lightly for they wanted Daniel to be put to death and pay for his actions and show the king that Daniel’s God was just another false idol.

The outcome: Daniel has shown that the Lord our God is real, the creator, the originator, the alpha and omega and that all other gods were and are false.

As for the king and the Babylonians, they still would not believe and will put Daniel to the final test to let their king and fellow countrymen know that Daniel and his God were fakes.

Don’t go anywhere for we have part 3 of Dare to be like Daniel.

I do hope this inspires you as you read that the Lord God of Daniel is the ‘I AM’ and there is no other beside him.

John 14:1 (KJV) Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
