Charlie Kirk Memorial

O death, where is thy sting?

Today, my wife and I watched the memorial of Charlie Kirk and I wish to supply you with my thoughts.

As we watched, I don’t remember a President, Vice President, Cabinet members, House and senate members all showing up to pay homage to this fallen warrior.

Outside, there was no rioting, no anger, no protests, no evil words but a “revival” type of atmosphere where people sang gospel hymns and prayed.

The question comes to mind as to if Christians are beginning to unite and that God is now becoming the center of America?

Fellow Christian, I can not answer that, but I can tell you that I saw men and women give testimony after testimony of what it means to be a Christian and the impact Mr. Kirk made upon their lives.

If you were watching, you could supply your thoughts on the testimonies given and the impact of God upon our nation. Is this the beginning of men and women who will stand with and for Christ even to death?

Charlie Kirk supplied the necessary truths to young people and was definitely refreshing to the ideologies taught by so many colleges that are in direct conflict with God.

Personally, I felt the Holy Spirit was in that assembly and God was with each person for He heard their prayers as well as our officials and family members prayers.

I love those who stand with God and put their faith against the forces of evil for I believe Jesus will say Well done my servant.

Why was his life taken? I do not know, but I do know that God has a purpose for all and I will never question God who is supreme.

Charlie’s wife Erica forgave the person who killed her husband and as a witness for she knew that was what both God and her husband expected her to do.

Yes, two children are left without their father, but God will never abandon that family. I truly believe their will be angels watching over that family and I am sure she will be true to her word that she will read her Bible and be in prayer for direction from our creator.

Folks, if you do not believe we are a Christian country based on God’s laws, statutes, ordinances and commandments, then wake up for I see a new and young generation that is looking for answers that the one & only God can give us through his word.

Is this the spark needed for a spiritual awakening and have “lukewarm” pastors been put on notice? Yes, for we yearn for truth and for pastors to teach the word of God, not universalism.

Today, there was no sugarcoating or dancing around of people afraid of speaking about God and giving a testimony ABOUT HOW GREAT God is. 

We had several news agencies covering this memorial throughout the world and we had the testimonies of those who had the courage to speak about the Savor who gave his life for each of us, died, conquered death, and provided each of us with eternal salvation.

Fellow Christian, stand up for we are the apple of God’s eye, the one who never forsake us nor gave up on us and when we have been in trouble, never abandoned us.

America, we are the land of the free and the home of the brave for our forefathers paved the way for each of us to serve God, his land, and the all the blessings that he has given us to make this country a beacon for light.

Yes, we heard about evil and yes evil has been here since the time of Adam and Eve, but God has given each of us a choice and like Charlie Kirk we may one day look death in the eye and that choice will be stand for and with the king of kings or say nothing.

Martyr, yes and the analogy of Stephan was so well said when he was being stoned and yet Stephan looked to the sky and asked forgiveness for those stoning him. 

This is what our young people want to hear—Truth from the complete Bible and what God has said in both the Old and New Testament which all too many pastors are afraid to preach because it may hurt someone’s feelings. 

In closing, I pray that Turning Point USA is blessed and furthers the word of God to schools and universities throughout our land and that those at Turning Point USA will continue to fight the good fight and put the full armor of God so that the powers of darkness will shutter in their shoes.

God does so much with one person—As you read the Bible, look at all the individual men and women God used to advance the gospel, so all it takes is one—will you be the one?

I do believe that Charlie Kirk was an instrument that God used to supply the good news and to awaken the next generation. We are not too old to witness nor spread the gospel for God will supply you, if you ask.

In closing, let us witness humbly, graciously and without reservation for we have the ultimate example in Jesus Christ who has never left us nor forsaken us.

To those who disagree, hate is not the answer but you can do as Jesus told his disciples who were spreading the gospel from town to town—Matthew 10:14 says If anyone will not welcome you or listen to your words, leave that home or town and shake the dust off your feet.

As I sign off, here is one of my favorite verses: John 14:6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Read it and Believe it for 80 years is not a long time, but eternity is forever.
