The Alien Within

The Alien Within

Good day to you and thank you for taking the time to read this column on the alien within and where we stand as citizens of the USA.

Who is the alien? How does this effect the USA? Should we have a cap on aliens entering the country? Should we have rules for those wanting to become citizens?

Questions abound, but the Bible has taken the guesswork out of aliens or foreigners becoming citizens for God has taken the guesswork out of the above and provided a path for us to follow.

Before we begin, I want to thank: https://godslittleacre.net/funnies/

Rich Man

There was once a rich man who was near death. He was very grieved because he had worked so hard for his money, and he wanted to be able to take it with him to heaven. So, he began to pray that he might be able to take some of his wealth with him.

An angel hears his plea and appears to him, “Sorry, but you can’t take your wealth with you.”

The man implores the angel to speak to God to see if He might bend the rules.

The man continued to pray that his wealth could follow him. The angel reappears and informs the man that God has decided to allow him to take one suitcase with him. Overjoyed, the man gathers his largest suitcase and fills it with pure gold bars and places it beside his bed.

Soon afterward, the man dies and shows up at the Gates of Heaven to greet St. Peter. Seeing the suitcase, Peter says, “Hold on, you can’t bring that in here!”

But the man explains to him that he has permission and asks him to verify his story with the Lord. Sure enough, St. Peter checks and comes back saying, “You’re right. You are allowed one carry-on bag, but I’m supposed to check its contents before letting it through.”

Peter opens the suitcase to inspect the worldly items that the man found too precious to leave behind and exclaims, “You brought pavement?!!!”

Domestic Bliss

One afternoon a man came home from work to find total mayhem in his house. His three children were outside, still in their pajamas, playing in the mud, with empty food boxes and wrappers strewn all around the front yard. The door of his wife’s car was open, as was the front door to the house.

Proceeding to the entry, he found an even bigger mess. A lamp had been knocked over, and the throw rug was wadded against one wall. In the front room, the TV was loudly blaring a cartoon channel, and the family room was strewn with toys and various items of clothing. In the kitchen, dishes filled the sink, breakfast food was spilled on the counter, dog food was spilled on the floor, a broken glass lay under the table, and a small pile of sand was spread by the back door.

He quickly headed up the stairs, stepping over the toys and more piles of clothes, looking for his wife. He was worried she may be ill, or that something serious had happened. He found her lounging in the bedroom, still curled in the bed in her pajamas, reading a novel.

She looked up at him, smiled, and asked how his day went. He looked at her bewildered and asked, “What happened here today?”

She again smiled and answered, “You know every day when you come home from work and ask me what in the world did I do today?”

“Yes,” was his incredulous reply.

She answered, “Well, today I didn’t do it.”

Rules for Dieting

If you eat something and no one sees you eat it, it has no calories.
If you drink diet soda with candy bars, the calories in the candy bar are cancelled out by the diet soda.
When you eat with someone else, calories don’t count as long as you don’t eat more than they do.
Food used for medicinal purposes never counts, such as hot chocolate, toast, and Sara Lee cheesecake.
If you fatten up the people around you, then you look thinner.
Movie-related foods do not have additional calories because they are part of the entire entertainment package and are not part of one’s personal intake. Examples are Milk Duds, buttered popcorn, Junior Mints, Red Hots and Tootsie Rolls.
Cookie pieces contain no calories. The process of breaking cookies causes caloric leakage.
Things licked off knives and spoons have no calories if you are in the process of preparing something. Examples are peanut butter on a knife while making a sandwich, or ice cream on a spoon while making a sundae.
Foods that have the same color have the same number of calories. For instance, spinach and pistachio ice cream, cauliflower and whipped cream. Note: Chocolate is a universal substitute and may be used in place of any other food.

Good stuff to laugh and enjoy this day for this is the day the Lord has made so let us enjoy each and every moment. Take a moment and read the following on laughter—Proverbs 17:22, Job 8:21 & Psalm 126:2 to name few verses.

You see, the Bible has a solution for every problem and an answer for everything—Just read the Bible and you will be amazed at what you learn.

By the way, today is the day that Charlie Kirk is being buried—my question is, why does it take a tragedy like this for our country filled with Christians to come together?

I have read about various Democrats who did not vote to have a moment of prayer for the death of Charlie Kirk—my question is, if you call yourself a Christian, then how can you be callous not to pray for our fallen brother? Even if you disagree with his ideologies, why wouldn’t you take the same path as Christ when he dealt with the Pharisees and take his same stance. I read with distaste about those who spoke so violently against Mr. Kirk and I must say that Ilhan Omar or She is also one of the first two Muslim women (along with Rashida Tlaib) to serve in Congress.

It is my belief as a Christian that we are not to have Muslims in offices of the United States. Our country was given to us by God and God only for the Muslim religion is against God and is a foreign based or man-based religion and does not adhere to God’s laws commandments, statutes and ordinances.

Call me what you may, but I believe the first commandment from God says quite bluntly that God is a jealous God and we, as Christians, are to have no other Gods which include false religions such as the Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, Confucius’s, to name a few.

Do I hate those above? No, for I will continue to pray for those who are of the above false religions and it is my hope that they repent and accept Jesus as their savior for this is the only way they enter the kingdom and not sent to hell.

Harsh, no for the time is coming that we will all stand before the king and will have to answer for our actions here on earth.

This brings me to the alien or foreigner for if we look back in the Bible, we see that our Israelite brothers and sisters were aliens or foreigners in the land of Egypt before the Exodus and were slaves to the Egyptians.

As we look back in Exodus, we see the plight of men and women who were foreigners in a strange land with the purpose of leaving that land for a land that God would give them known as the promised land.

The wonder of God is shown in Exodus 3: 7-10 (NIV) The Lord said, “I have indeed seen the misery of my people in Egypt. I have heard them crying out because of their slave drivers, and I am concerned about their suffering. So I have come down to rescue them from the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up out of that land into a good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey—the home of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites. And now the cry of the Israelites has reached me, and I have seen the way the Egyptians are oppressing them. So now, go. I am sending you to Pharaoh to bring my people the Israelites out of Egypt.”

Isn’t it wonderful that God hears our prayers? God reveals his plans to Moses who will carry out the Israelite exodus into the land flowing with milk and honey.

Again, foreigners crying out to our most loving God to help them break the chains of being slaves and have a prophet lead them to the promised land. God never breaks his promise as God always hears the cries of those in peril.

As I researched the word alien in the Bible, it seems that this word is interchangeable with the word foreigner or in this case an Israelite.

Yes, when the Israelites left Egypt, along came aliens with them or folks from other countries who wanted to leave and follow the ways of God.

When reading the Bible, the alien was able to celebrate the Lord’s Passover and must do so in accordance with its rules and regulations. These regulations must be for the alien as well as the native born. See Numbers 9:14

When one reads this verse, one must remember that God had singled out Israel as “his chosen people” and to be an example to the rest of the world of how a nation could and should follow him. The result and hope are that all people obey and worship him.

God makes it clear in Exodus 22:21 & 23:9 not to mistreat nor oppress an alien, for he reminded the Israelites that they were once aliens.

Here, in America, I take the stance that those entering this country must enter in accordance with our country’s rules and regulations.

Here is a quote from President Teddy Roosevelt:   https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/sole-loyalty/

Theodore Roosevelt’s ideas on Immigrants and being an AMERICAN in 1907.

In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person’s becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American … There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn’t an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag … We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language … and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people.

Theodore Roosevelt 1907

Biblically, God gave both the Israelite and alien regulations such as not eating the blood of a creature, not eating anything found dead or torn by wild animals or when hunting the blood must be drained and covered with earth before eating. Leviticus 17:8-15

God makes it clear that we are not to mistreat foreigners again in Leviticus for we are all foreigners in this world.

God, in Leviticus, let’s us know that the alien and the poor are to be fed by the very edges of the field and the gleanings of the harvest as shown in Leviticus 19:9 & 23:22 for God ends both verses with I am the Lord your God.

God made it very evident that aliens as well as Israelites were under the commandments, ordinances, statutes and judgments that God gave them as shown in Numbers 35:15 where cities of refuge were set up for those who accidentally killed another person.

Clearly, God said that we are all to observe the Sabbath day whether Israelite, Christian or alien and to do no work on the Sabbath which included your family members, animals, or men/maidservants.

If we were in the kingdom, God would require debt to be cancelled every seven years for every creditor would cancel the loan he made to his fellow Israelite or brother. What wonderful news with no interest or usury.

Have you read the feast of the Tabernacles for 3 times a year each male was make a journey to the sanctuary in the city that would be designated as Israel’s religious capital. This would include your family, men/maidservants, Levites, aliens, the fatherless and widows to give what they could in proportion to what God had given them.

Please take note of Deuteronomy 17:14-15 where God makes it so very clear who gave whom the land for, he knew the Israelites would clamor for a king so they could be like other nations. The Israelites were not having God as their king, as shown when Saul became their king. God said the chosen king must be among your own brothers and do not place a foreigner over you, one who is not a brother Israelite.

Here is a question, has America placed those in government office of Israelite descent or have we chosen those over us that are under other religions? When choosing a leader for the people, is he the person who has sought to lead the nation according to God’s or man’s laws?

Am I saying that interest is bad? No, for a fellow Israelite can charge interest to a foreigner on money, food or anything else, but not to his brother or fellow Israelite. This would be the same for I will not charge interest to my fellow Christian brother.

Draw your thoughts, for we live in a country that is presently picking up those who have entered our country illegally and have not adhered to the rules and regulations. Again, I refer to Teddy Roosevelt that we have one flag and one flag only which is the American flag and that we speak the English language and that we all pay our taxes and adhere to the laws that govern our great nation.

Yes, the alien must be treated with respect but each alien entering our land must adhere to the rules and regulations of this country and, if not, will be deported back to the country they had fled.

Unfortunately, we live under man’s system and not God’s for this problem would have been solved and we would not be in the mess with immigration.

In closing, turn to Deuteronomy 31:12-13 (NIV) Assemble the people—men, women and children, and the foreigners residing in your towns—so they can listen and learn to fear the Lord your God and follow carefully all the words of this law. Their children, who do not know this law, must hear it and learn to fear the Lord your God as long as you live in the land you are crossing the Jordan to possess.”

Fellow pastor, will you heed the advice? Fellow Christian, will you assist? Will you do what God hath said or turn a deaf ear?

Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
