The commandments are old and outdated, why keep them?

Again, let’s see what Jesus about the commandments—Turn John 15:10 (KJV) If ye keep my Commandments, ye shall abide in my love, even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and I abide in his love. Jesus affirms these verses in John 14: 23-24. Either we can keep the commandments and abide in Jesus love or we can sin by refusing to keep God’s laws.
What is sin?
It is interesting to note that in the East, a bond is cancelled by nailing it to a post. Our bond of guilt was nailed to His cross.
Hi Jeff, what is the name of your god? Since we all seem to have many gods in our lifetime, I like to be on the same page with whom I’m writing too. It has been many years for me to learn of his plan for all mankind. May we continue on this quest to learn of our Father with his Spirit’s guidance.
I think you will agree that if we were under God’s laws and not those of man that our world would be ideal. God has addressed every issue in his laws with a solution that makes sense and could and should be used by all.
