Seven Detestable Sins

Seven Detestable Sins

Good day to each of you reading this column and the approach of the Christmas holiday.

This should be the most celebrated holiday in the life of any and all Christians for God gave his one and only begotten son to save you and me.

What greater gift could you give than eternal life? What greater sacrifice than our beloved savior giving his own life to save mankind.

The hustle and bustle of the holidays leave us little time to place our thoughts upon the Christ who was born and gave each of us the gift of everlasting life.

One thing that rubs me the wrong way is Merry X-Mass—It is Merry Christmas for one cannot X Christ out of Christmas.

Yes, I know there are those who do not believe that Christ was born in December and that this is a pagan holiday—this is your thought.

But when do you celebrate Christ’s birthday? If you celebrate the resurrection, then why not celebrate his birth? Just my thoughts, so I can get into the message, but I ask you to put Christ first this season and each day and put the commercialism in the rear window.

Proverbs 6:16-19 (NIV) There are six things the LORD hates,
seven that are detestable to him:

17 haughty eyes,
a lying tongue,
hands that shed innocent blood,

18 a heart that devises wicked schemes,
feet that are quick to rush into evil,

19 a false witness who pours out lies
and a person who stirs up conflict in the community.

I recently read an article from Holly Mills in Thy Kingdom Come with the title—As I see it—Truth is Missing and an editorial from the author Brooks Alden—May God Bless our Way.

I urge you to get on the list and receive their free monthly booklet as their writers are spot on when providing lessons for each of us.

These days, so many pastors speak about God as always loving, always tender and yet I have not heard what God hates.

Follow me, if you say you are a Christian then don’t you hate the same things that God hates? Do you think that Christ was a pacifist?

In today’s society, how many of our leaders possess the following?

Haughty Eyes
According to the dictionary.com, a haughty person acts superior and looks down on others. Haughty people are disdainful, overbearing, prideful, swaggering, and obnoxious.

A Lying Tongue
According to the dictionary.com, other words for lying: falsehood, falsity, mendacity, prevarication, deceptive, misleading, mendacious, fallacious; sham, counterfeit.

Hands that shed innocent blood
Abortion comes to mind as a synonym, murder, intent to murder.

A heart that devises wicked schemes
According to the dictionary.com, here are a few synonyms for devise—arrange, come up with, concoct, construct, create, design, forge, hatch, mastermind.

Feet that are quick to rush into evil
According to dictionary.com, are a few synonyms for quick: abrupt, brisk, expeditious, hasty, hurried, instantaneous, immediate, rapid and sudden.

A false witness who pours out lies
According to the dictionary.com, are a few synonyms for pours: flows, gushes, spills, streams, spews.

A person who stirs up conflict in the community
According to the dictionary.com, are a few synonyms for stirs: furor, uproar, agitate, flap, flurry, turmoil.

Seven things above are things that the Lord hates and these seven things are exhibited by those who hold high places in our society.

Names are not needed for these men and women who show this behavior for their time is short and God will deal with them on an individual basis.
Turn to Hosea 4:1-2 (NIV)

1 Hear the word of the LORD, you Israelites, because the LORD has a charge to bring against you who live in the land: “There is no faithfulness, no love, no acknowledgment of God in the land.

2 There is only cursing, lying and murder, stealing and adultery; they break all bounds, and bloodshed follows bloodshed.

Fellow Christian, these verses pertain to the Israelite nations of today who have been charged by the Lord of the following sins in our lands.

We can’t have it both ways—you can’t receive the blessings in your household nor your land when the above acts are committed daily.

Yes, God loves us but God hates sin and when we commit those things detestable to God then we must atone for those sins individually and as a country before we can receive the blessings.

We are his children and he loves us so very much that he placed in the Bible the things that he detests and yet, we have become a stiff neck people testing God.

As a Christian, I hope you read this lesson fervently for the hourglass of sand is quickly becoming full and our Lord will appear to reclaim his kingdom here on earth.

I must agree with Mr. Alden that the goal is to create a one world government under the control of Satan. I am not a conspiracy theorist and this is not a theory—Satan wants to show God that the earth and all that God has created is his and he is daring God to take that away from him.

I believe that God’s judgment will come upon those men and women in high places such as government high places of leadership, big pharma, hi-tech companies, entertainment fields, large corporations, woke (ism), teachers’ unions, large Churchdom, and the financial industry.

So, how did the above come about? Turn with me Ezekiel 7: 19-22 (KJV) They shall cast their silver in the streets, and their gold shall be removed: their silver and their gold shall not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of the LORD: they shall not satisfy their souls, neither fill their bowels: because it is the stumblingblock of their iniquity.

20 As for the beauty of his ornament, he set it in majesty: but they made the images of their abominations and of their detestable things therein: therefore have I set it far from them.

21 And I will give it into the hands of the strangers for a prey, and to the wicked of the earth for a spoil; and they shall pollute it.

22 My face will I turn also from them, and they shall pollute my secret place: for the robbers shall enter into it, and defile it.

As you read the 7th chapter of Ezekiel, it may take more than one time to read and sink in for this chapter fits our lands so well in this age.

Some food for thought is to read Revelation 18 and the fall of Babylon for in one hour such great wealth has been brought to a ruin!

As I close, Christmas will soon be here in the next few days and then the ushering in of 2023.

Will 2023 be the year where Babylon falls and man casts his silver in the streets and their gold shall not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of God?

I think Matthew 6:19-21 says it so well: “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20 But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. John 14:1.
