Don’t Take This Lightly
Good day as I hope this day finds you well for this is the day that the Lord has made so let us be thankful.
In the past few days, I went into the hospital for my 7th stent—I’m sure many of you have had as many or more, but isn’t it wonderful of the medical strides made, as I was out that same day.
Now, I don’t know about you, but the hospital is not the place for proper rest. Forget it for every three hours they wake you to check your pulse, your IV bag, your temperature, or if you are, ok?
Before you go off, thank God, your doctors and nurses, that you made it through the surgery, that you have a sound mind and that your health has improved because you had the best care from each of them.
I’m not a doctor, but I make sure that I thank my cardiologists for their work, their commitment and for their care. Without them doing their job correctly and without our creator providing his guidance to the cardiologist and nurses, I may very well be six feet under and, here I am, six feet above.
Yes, health care is very expensive, but what price do you put on your life? Your wife’s life or family members life?
I have been there and I know the symptoms of a heart attack—chest pain, pain in the left arm and jutting up the left side of the neck into the teeth—Men, if you have these symptoms, “don’t be macho” and see your doctor now and not later.
I am sure many of you have experienced these same health issues or knew someone close who experienced these symptoms—some did something about them and some did not.
Turn to 2 Chronicles 16:12-13 and read these verses as instruction is given as to the steps given when facing a disease. Asa sought the physicians for his diseased feet and not the Lord. What a mistake for Asa slept with his fathers.
When I arose the day of my surgery, I knelt asking the Lord to be with the physician, the staff and my wife to instruct and comfort them. As I entered the hospital room, I had a peace that I could not describe and knew that the Lord’s will be done.
Take my advice, don’t wait but be proactive. Pray to the Lord to instruct and comfort the men and women physicians, nurses and staff when facing a medical procedure and let HIS WILL BE DONE.
May you Bless God in all that you say and do!
